This week, I am being to see the light and everything is coming together. Over the past two weeks I have entered into various moments of silence in an attempt to discover my true self. I have come away from various insights about myself and a clearer vision of where I want to go and who I want to be.
This week’s lesson has tied a lot of things together and picture is becoming clearer, I have been given the tools to assist me on this journey, including the law of least effort;
1) Acceptance – I practice acceptance. Today I accept people, situations, circumstances and events as they occur. I know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I struggle not against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total & complete. I accept things as they are in this moment, not as I wish them were.
2) Responsibility – Having accepted things as they are, I take responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.
3) Defenselessness – Today my awareness remain established in defenselessness. I relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to anyone of them.
Additionally, in the Hanaal readings, he’s talks about the spirit
“Spirit, whatever else it may or may not be, must be considered as the Essence of Consciousness, the Substance of Mind, the reality underlying Thought. And as all ideas are phases of the activity of Consciousness, Mind or Thought, it follows that in Spirit, and in it alone, is to be found the Ultimate Fact, the Real Thing, or Idea.”
“Spirituality” is quite “practical,” very “practical,” intensely “practical.” It teaches that Spirit is the Real Thing, the Whole Thing, and that Matter is but plastic stuff, which Spirit is able to create, mould, manipulate, and fashion to its will. Spirituality is the most “practical” thing in the world — the only really and absolutely “practical” thing that there is!
“… that man is not a body with a spirit, but a spirit with a body, and that it is for this reason that his desires are incapable of any permanent satisfaction in anything not spiritual.”
The previous statement from sums it up perfectly “we are not a body with a spirit but a spirit with a body”. Everything is coming together and the light is getting brighter as I approach my one thing (dharma). I would like to leave you the following inspiring quote;
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~ Marianne Williamson
Peace be the journey…
