MKMMA Week 2 – Words…

shorelineWhat do you think of when you see a great piece of artwork? Such art work as paints, sculptures, architecture, literature and books etc.

How many people have a seen a great painting in a museum? Who is this creative artist? How did this painting come about, well it starts with the artist having an inspiration or an artmonaidea. Then he/she takes that idea/ inspiration and begins to transition it to the canvas. This process can take days, month or years depending on the scope of the project to complete their artwork. What is the result? A stunning painting, sculptures, etc that people marvel at and wonder how it came into being.

How many people have a seen a great piece of architecture? Who is Statue of Liberty_flickr_216759898_429003983c_zthis creative artist? How did this structure come about, again it starts with the artist having an inspiration or an idea. Then he/she takes that idea/ inspiration and begins to transition it to the drawings . This process can take days, month or years depending on the scope of the project to complete their eiffel-towerstructure. What is the result? A stunning a building that people marvel at and wonder how it came into being.

However, I believe that words are the greatest forms of art. I know what you thinking what are you talking about? Just hear me out, words put together make sentences, sentences make paragraphs and so on. We can use words to create whatever our heart desires. Over the past two weeks, I have been honored and privileged to have read Definite Major Purpose (DMP’s) from the 20+ members of the 2014/2015 Masterkey class . These members “artists” are creating their masterpiece one word at a time. The result an amazing and exciting picture of their dharma/ bliss, that people marvel at and wonder how it came into being.

The greatest masterpiece is the one we create with words…

MKMMA Week 1: New Beginnings!!!

New Beginnings

As the 2015 MKMMA classes have just begun, I can recall the emotions and feelings that I had during my first week. I was excited, nervous yet committed to discovering my inner dharma, I’m sure most people from the 2015 class feel the same way right now.  By the way, I had never written a definite Major Purpose (DMP) or even a blogged before but rest assured this is perfectly normal, these next 26 weeks is process of discovery which is unique to each individual, so enjoy the process.

Looking forward to seeing you all chip away at your cement Buddha and find your true hearts bliss!!

MKMMA Week 24 – “Unplugged”

This is the final week of the MKMMA live webcasts & training, it’s been a magnificent & fantastic ride over the past 26 weeks. The things I have learned from this course have been life changing and are opening up opportunities that I would not have concerned in the past.

If you are familiar with the movie the “Matrix”, there is a scene where “Neo” (Keanu Reeves) is “unplugged” from the matrix (programmed world) into the “real” world. This scene captures the essence of the Master Keys for me and I’m sure my MKMMA classmates would agree too.  We have been living regular lives directed the “society” but over the past 26 weeks we have learned ways to filter out all the noise around us and to start  listening to our inner voice to achieve our dharma.

26 weeks ago, I started to this journey of self-discovery, previously searching for answers outside when in reality I just needed to search within myself. These answers has always been there all the time, I just didn’t know how to get access them but I know now which is so powerful that I can call on it anytime I need. The mind is the most amazing gift we have been given but most people are not using it to its fullest potential. The master key has taught me that the “Mind” is the getaway to our dharma & bliss.

Although the formal part of the Master Keys course is ending, I consider this to be only the beginning of my journey toward my dharma and I’m excited of what lies ahead.

I want to thank Mark, Davene, Trish, Heather and the countless others for putting this course together and for mentoring us along through this amazing journey, Mahalo. To my fellow MKMMA classmates thanks for “finishing strong”,  your friendship and a lifetime bond that spans the globe, I can feel our presence (vibration) around me and I know I can call on it anytime, Thank You!!!.

Additionally, I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude to all that have followed, read & commented on my blog over the past 6 months, Thank you!!!

BTW I do plan on continue with my blogging.

Peace be the journey…

Week 23 – One thing…

This week, I am being to see the light and everything is coming together. Over the past two weeks I have entered into various moments of silence in an attempt to discover my true self. I have come away from various insights about myself and a clearer vision of where I want to go and who I want to be.

This week’s lesson has tied a lot of things together and picture is becoming clearer, I have been given the tools to assist me on this journey, including the law of least effort;

1)      Acceptance – I practice acceptance. Today I accept people, situations, circumstances and events as they occur. I know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I struggle not against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total & complete. I accept things as they are in this moment, not as I wish them were.

2)      Responsibility – Having accepted things as they are, I take responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.

3)      Defenselessness – Today my awareness remain established in defenselessness. I relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to anyone of them.

Additionally, in the Hanaal readings, he’s talks about the spirit

“Spirit, whatever else it may or may not be, must be considered as the Essence of Consciousness, the Substance of Mind, the reality underlying Thought. And as all ideas are phases of the activity of Consciousness, Mind or Thought, it follows that in Spirit, and in it alone, is to be found the Ultimate Fact, the Real Thing, or Idea.”

“Spirituality” is quite “practical,” very “practical,” intensely “practical.” It teaches that Spirit is the Real Thing, the Whole Thing, and that Matter is but plastic stuff, which Spirit is able to create, mould, manipulate, and fashion to its will. Spirituality is the most “practical” thing in the world — the only really and absolutely “practical” thing that there is!

“… that man is not a body with a spirit, but a spirit with a body, and that it is for this reason that his desires are incapable of any permanent satisfaction in anything not spiritual.”

The previous statement from sums it up perfectly “we are not a body with a spirit but a spirit with a body”. Everything is coming together and the light is getting brighter as I approach my one thing (dharma). I would like to leave you the following inspiring quote;

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~ Marianne Williamson

Peace be the journey…

Week 22A ~ Into the Silence…

Last week, I talked about standing on the edge of the abyss with a decision of

1)      Step forward to slay the dragon and find your true self or

2)      Retreat and revert back to the old blue print.

I have ventured forward into the abyss but my true self can only be found in silence.

We live in a world with constant distractions such as smart phones, email, TV, radio, newspapers, co-workers, friends & family. Its extreme difficult to find that silence, when there is so much “noise” around you.

Fs1Over the past week, I was able to find my “fortress of solitude” and have various pockets of silence. Unplugging myself from the world and focus on my thoughts was simply awesome, words can’t describe the feeling and clarity of thoughts.

Although I have feel good with what I have done but I feel I can uncover so much more by committing to longer period of silence.

It’s time to return to the silence…

Week 21 – Clap Along….

This week has been amazing in the Master Keys; I know I mentioned that in previous blogs but Hanaal just keeps blowing me away every week and this week has been no different, additionally it’s beginning to start to come together everything that we have learned over these past 21 weeks.

I really had a tough time narrowing down the topic for this week blog until this morning when a follow MKMAAer (Rhonda Moss) tweeted  the following link this morning

Original Video

Movie Version with lyrics (Despicable Me 2)

I have heard this song previously on the radio and from the movie “Despicable Me 2” if you have kids.  This song & video by Pharrell Williams really lifted my spirits this morning after a long week. By the way what’s not to like about this song has a great beat, lyrics and it definitely lifts spirits. BTW, during the research for this blog, I found that Pharrell actually created a “24hour happiness” music video to this song, (I’ll attach the link below if you are interested in viewing it)

Over the past weeks we have talked about having a positive mental attitude and to positively charge your Dharma with feelings. Hanaal also mentions “mental attitude” again in this week’s readings

21 – 12. The predominant thought or the mental attitude is the magnet, and the law is that “like attracts like”, consequently the mental attitude will invariably attract such conditions as correspond to its nature.

21 -13. This mental attitude is our personality and is composed of the thoughts which we have been creating in our own mind; therefore, if we wish a change in conditions all that is necessary is to change our thought; this will in turn change our mental attitude, which will in turn change our personality, which will in turn change the persons, things and conditions, or, the experiences with which we meet in life.

21- 14. It is, however, no easy matter to change the mental attitude, but by persistent effort it may be accomplished; the mental attitude is patterned after the mental pictures which have been photographed on the brain; if you do not like the pictures, destroy the negatives and create new pictures; this is the art of visualization.

The last 2 passages are particularly important; if you don’t like the picture in our head change it, wow what a great concept! So, “if we wish a change in conditions all that is necessary is to change our thought; this will in turn change our mental attitude, which will in turn change our personality, which will in turn change the persons, things and conditions, or, the experiences with which we meet in life.” WOW!!!

So what’s does your picture look like? What’s your mental attitude going to be?

To help you I’ll  leave you with the following lyrics from “Happy” by Pharrell Williams

“clap along … if you feel like happiness is the truth”

“clap along … if you what happiness means to you”

“clap along … if you feel like that’s what you wanna do”

Clap along….

Thanks Rhonda, for sharing this video and I have also add it to my DMP playlist as well.

So until next time, Peace be the Journey!!!

Week 14 – Pathway to Success? Let a Plane, Monster & Bobsled show you how..

This week in the Master Keys; Hanaal talks about harmony, we transitioned into to Scroll 4 in the Great’s Salesman by Og Mandino and we got to watch one of four of the following movies.

  • Cool Runnings
  • Door to Door
  • October Sky
  • Rudy

It was a nice change to an adult movie, we usually end up watching movies the kids want to watch. By the way, each of my 3 children received movies for Christmas, I have ending up watching each of Despicable Me 2, Planes and Monster’s University at least 3 times in a little over a week.

I apologize for getting side tracked; but I was able to convince them to watch “Cool Runnings” for one night at least. Anyways, for our assignment this week, we had to watch one of these movies and identify the 4 steps that we have been learning to achieve our bliss which are;

Definite Major Purpose (DMP) back by a burning desire.

Positive Mental Attitude (PMA)

Plan of Action (POA)

Master Mind Alliance (MMA)

I have never watched a movie from this advantage point before which was very cool by the way. Without going into detail about the movie, it’s about a 4 Jamaican who wanted to be Olympians and a coach who was seeking redemption.

It was a great way to show my children to pursue their dreams and to never give up. Where one door may close another opens, as the movie shows 4 Jamaican Olympic hopefuls, trying to make the Summer Olympics. But ended up in the Winter Olympics, with a plan of action and mastermind alliance of those 5 people, they were able to make history to be the first to represent their country in the Winter Olympics and almost shocked the world with their performance!

It’s funny, even with my children’s movies I can see these traits as well. For example in Planes, Dusty (a crop duster) has a dream to see and race around the world; he masterminds with others and develops a plan of action while maintaining the positive mental attitude and becomes a champion. The same goes for Monster’s University, from childhood “Mike” dreams of working on the scare floor at Monsters Inc. He has a burning desire and plan of action (attend university) and Master Mind Alliance with Sully eventually. He was able to achieve his dream, maybe not how he originally intending but he got there never the less.

So ask yourself if a fictional plane, monster and the true story of 4 Jamaicans who achieved their dreams, what’s stopping you from achieving your dreams?

Absolutely nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams/ bliss, if you have these four things;

So, where will your dreams/bliss take you?
