Week 14 – Pathway to Success? Let a Plane, Monster & Bobsled show you how..

This week in the Master Keys; Hanaal talks about harmony, we transitioned into to Scroll 4 in the Great’s Salesman by Og Mandino and we got to watch one of four of the following movies.

  • Cool Runnings
  • Door to Door
  • October Sky
  • Rudy

It was a nice change to an adult movie, we usually end up watching movies the kids want to watch. By the way, each of my 3 children received movies for Christmas, I have ending up watching each of Despicable Me 2, Planes and Monster’s University at least 3 times in a little over a week.

I apologize for getting side tracked; but I was able to convince them to watch “Cool Runnings” for one night at least. Anyways, for our assignment this week, we had to watch one of these movies and identify the 4 steps that we have been learning to achieve our bliss which are;

Definite Major Purpose (DMP) back by a burning desire.

Positive Mental Attitude (PMA)

Plan of Action (POA)

Master Mind Alliance (MMA)

I have never watched a movie from this advantage point before which was very cool by the way. Without going into detail about the movie, it’s about a 4 Jamaican who wanted to be Olympians and a coach who was seeking redemption.

It was a great way to show my children to pursue their dreams and to never give up. Where one door may close another opens, as the movie shows 4 Jamaican Olympic hopefuls, trying to make the Summer Olympics. But ended up in the Winter Olympics, with a plan of action and mastermind alliance of those 5 people, they were able to make history to be the first to represent their country in the Winter Olympics and almost shocked the world with their performance!

It’s funny, even with my children’s movies I can see these traits as well. For example in Planes, Dusty (a crop duster) has a dream to see and race around the world; he masterminds with others and develops a plan of action while maintaining the positive mental attitude and becomes a champion. The same goes for Monster’s University, from childhood “Mike” dreams of working on the scare floor at Monsters Inc. He has a burning desire and plan of action (attend university) and Master Mind Alliance with Sully eventually. He was able to achieve his dream, maybe not how he originally intending but he got there never the less.

So ask yourself if a fictional plane, monster and the true story of 4 Jamaicans who achieved their dreams, what’s stopping you from achieving your dreams?

Absolutely nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams/ bliss, if you have these four things;

So, where will your dreams/bliss take you?

Week 12 – Keep Going Forward…

Continuing with the theme from last week the “Power of Thought”, we continue into Week 12 with more focus and clarity around our thoughts. Applying the knowledge with the law of attraction to allow the “forces” to manifest our dharma.

In chapter 12, Hanaal writes;

“Knowledge does not apply itself; we as individuals must make the application, and the application consists in fertilizing the thought with a living purpose.

The time and thought which most persons waste in aimless effort would accomplish wonders if properly directed with some special object in view. In order to do this, it is necessary to center your mental force upon a specific thought and hold it there, to the exclusion of all other thoughts. If you have ever looked through the viewfinder of a camera, you found that when the object was not in focus, the impression was indistinct and possibly blurred, but when the proper focus was obtained the picture was clear and distinct. This illustrates the power of concentration. Unless you can concentrate upon the object which you have in view, you will have but a hazy, indifferent, vague, indistinct and blurred outline of your ideal and the results will be in accordance with your mental picture.”

As I proceed through this course, I’ve lost count on how many times I had that “ah ha” moments and this describes my previous blue print jumping from idea to idea and not having the conviction or passion to follow through with the idea to the end. That’s changed now, I am laser focused on the dharma, backed by a burning desire and passion for it to come to fruition (i.e. magnifying glass).

The following passages put this MKMMA journey to perspective and focus as I continue toward my dharma,

12 – 4: The only way to keep from going backward is to keep going forward. Eternal vigilance is the price of success. There are three steps, and each one is absolutely essential. You must first have the knowledge of your power; second, the courage to dare; third, the faith to do.

12 – 8: But your ideal must be sharp, clear-cut, definite; to have one ideal today, another tomorrow, and a third next week, means to scatter your forces and accomplish nothing; your result will be a meaningless and chaotic combination of wasted material.

12 – 27: He who desires wisdom, power, or permanent success of any kind will find it only within; it is an unfoldment. The unthinking may conclude that the silence is very simple and easily attained, but it should be remembered that only in absolute silence may one come into contact with Divinity itself; may learn of the unchangeable law and open for himself the channels by which persistent practice and concentration lead to perfection.

I have been searching for answers in all the wrong places (world outside,) when the true answers have been within me all along, I just didn’t know how to harness it but I do know now; simple powerful, wow another “ah ha” moment.

A recap of an amazing week in MKMMA:

– The 50 minute of repeating one sentence DMP (words simply can’t describe how powerful this exercise was, talk about laser focus.)

– Flash cards of accomplishments, so simple yet incredible powerful (eye opener did realize how much I have accomplished so far)

I also found 2 more affirmation to add to my card;

“The knowledge of your power; second, the courage to dare; third, the faith to do.”

“The only way to keep from going backward is to keep going forward. Eternal vigilance is the price of success.”

Week 11 – Power of Thought!

As we continue on our Master Keys journey, this week we dig deeper into the mind, the power of thought, cause and effect.

Hanaal writes;

“It is well, however, to remember that while every effect is the result of a cause, the effect in turn becomes a cause, which creates other effects, which in turn create still other causes; so that when you put the law of attraction into operation you must remember that you are starting a train of causation for good or otherwise which may have endless possibilities.”

Basically what we think about grows and those thoughts attract forces to us to manifest those thoughts. The “mysterious source” that Hanaal mentions earlier in the master keys readings.

The mind is like a magnet attracting to those conditions we think about, for instance if we think positive thoughts, positive things will happen to you or vice versa if we think negative thoughts, then negative things will happen to you.

Positive Thinking Word Cloud Concept

I have always believed this but this interruption by Hanaal takes to a whole new level!! It boggles the mind to think this book was written in the early 1900’s, the depth of jis insight about the mind is truly unbelievable and remarkable.

Hanaal goes on to say;

11 – 20 “… Inductive reasoning is the process of the objective mind, by which we compare a number of separate instances with one another until we see the common factor that gives rise to them all. We see people in every civilized country on the globe, securing results by some process which they do not seem to understand themselves, and to which they usually attach more or less mystery. Our reason is given to us for the purpose of ascertaining the law by which these results are accomplished.”

11 – 21 “The operation of this thought process is seen in those fortunate natures that possess everything that others must acquire by toil, who never have a struggle with conscience because they always act correctly, and can never conduct themselves otherwise than with tact, learn everything easily, complete everything they begin with a happy knack, live in eternal harmony with themselves, without ever reflecting much what they do, or ever experiencing difficulty or toil.”

These two passages really resonated with me on my current journey through the master keys. The “common factor that gives to them all” is our Definite Major Purpose (DMP) and the exercises that we have been doing the last 11 weeks has prepared and nurtured our mind so that we can “plant the seed”. The conditions are right for the seed (DMP) to grow and become reality and attract those forces that will manifest it.

As my follow MKMMA can attest the past few weeks have been tough, from the mental diet, no opinions, to letting all negative energies leave our mind and body and embracing “love” for everyone and everything. I am amazed at the changes I’m seeing in myself but I’m more ecstatic that as a group that we are on the crevasse of greatness and we can change the world!!

“I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.”

Week 10 – “I persist until I succeed”

** Gratitude to everyone for your comments for my previous week(s) blog post(s).**

I have mentioned in the past how amazing this course has been and how it just continues to impress week after week!

This week, we changed to reading scroll 3 of the “Greatest Salesman” which we read each scroll for one month. Each one of Og Mandino’s scrolls which I have read 3 of the 10 so far has been more powerful and meaningful than the previous one.

Upon reading this scroll 3 times daily, in addition to Hanaal’s readings, has made reflect back in my previous experiences of stopping short and not persisting through and blaming others yet not realizing the “true” cause, as Hannal writes in the intro to this weeks readings;

“The ordinary man, who has no definite knowledge of cause and effect, is governed by his feelings or emotions…He never thinks his problem through to the end. In short, he does not know that every effect is the result of a certain definite cause, but he seeks to console himself with explanations and excuses. He thinks only in self-defence.

 On the contrary, the man who understands that there is no effect without an adequate cause thinks impersonally. He gets down to bedrock facts regardless of consequences. He is free to follow the trail of truth wherever it may lead. He sees the issue clear to the end, and he meets the requirements fully and fairly, and the result is that the world gives him all that it has to give, in friendship, honor, love and approval.”

Bam, what a revelation!! Mandino states further;

 “I was not delivered unto this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny.

 I will persist until I succeed.

 The prizes of life are at the end of each journey, not near the beginning; and it is not given to me to know how many steps are necessary in order to reach my goal. Failure

I may still encounter at the thousandth step, yet success hides behind the next bend in the road. Never will I know how close it lies unless I turn the corner.

Always will I take another step. If that is of no avail I will take another, and yet another. In truth, one step at a time is not too difficult.

 I will persist until I succeed.”

Double BAM!! I wish I had known this previously, it would have saved a lot heartache but that being said I realize that I can’t change the past but I know that control my destiny here and now and going forward “I persist until I succeed.”

“I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep.”

“I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.”

I always keep my promises!

Week 7 – I’m Positive, Right?

** Gratitude to everyone for your comments for my previous week(s) blog(s).**

This week, we have been placed on a mental diet, I know what you are thinking what’s that? We all have been on a diet at one point in time; in my case I am try to loss weight countless times anyways the mental diet that’s something new.

7-day-mental-diet-pic-300x188 blockpage

The following passage from Emmet Fox essay on “The Seven day mental diet”;

“…people often find that the starting of this diet seems to stir up all sorts of difficulties. It seems as though everything begins to go wrong at once. This may be disconcerting, but it is really a good sign. It means that things are moving; and is not that the very object we have in view? If my whole world seems to rock on its foundations, I hold on steadily, I let it rock and when the rocking is over, the picture will have reassembled itself into something much nearer to my heart’s desire.

The above point is vitally important and rather subtle. I see that the very dwelling upon these difficulties is in itself a negative thought which has probably thrown me off the diet. The remedy is not of course, to deny that my world is rocking in appearance, but to refuse to take the appearance for the reality (Judge not according to appearances but judge righteous judgment).”

Basically in a nut shell, it’s 7 day where we cannot entertain my negative thoughts about ourselves or others. Should be easy right? not so fast. It’s been a very challenging task over the last few days, I have lost count on the number of times I had to reset and start all over again.ResetButton1

Personally, I considered myself a fairly positive person but after attempting this diet, I realized that do entertain these thoughts. It’s been challenge as my fellow MKMMA’er will attest, but as Mark J would say “with challenge comes change”!!

If anything, what the last few days have taught me is that I need to dig in and not let these thoughts enter my mind. I have the tools at my disposal to curb these thoughts, such law of substitution, my compass, dream board, DMP and more importantly the law of giving.

I am the gatekeeper and I will remain faithful to being positive and deflect any negative thoughts, with love and compass in hand nothing will stand in my way toward my dharma because I am in the flow!

Week 4 – Smell the roses

There is an old saying “slow down and smell the roses.”

This is something that used to be foreign to me, as I was caught up in my life with no available time. But through the Master Keys, I am learning to become an observer, it started off  with small things such as Blue Rectangleblue rectangles  (from week 2 blog) and red circles.reddot

This week, it has progressed to noticing nature, kindness, smiles, service, gratitude and so much more, all things that I have been taking for granted.

smileIt is absolutely amazing what I simple thing like smiling can do; it for one make you feel good and two when you smile at others it makes them feel good as well. Everyone talks about the simple things in life but there is nothing simpler than smiling, being kind and giving compliments.

Through this act of giving and receiving, we create a “flow” thereby creating peptides in the mind which matches the corresponding emotion to create a chemical reaction to simulate the associated cells in the body and which triggers the related memories/feelings. A thought instantly triggers up to 4 billion synaptic connections in the mind which triggers the neuro net and the associated memory’s and feelings related to that thought. green triangle

We need to nourish the mind by constantly affirming positive thoughts and create new peptides in the mind with new feelings and thereby creating a new reality. Therefore, we need to exercise the mind;  Jennifer (a fellow MKMMAer) has a great blog about that at http://t.co/zPFAcHXkm2.

In this weeks reading, Hanaal writes,

“.. when you have learned to control yourself you will have found the “World Within” which controls the world without; you will have become irresistible; men and things will respond to your every wish without any apparent effort on your part.”

The mind is a very powerful muscle, we need to keep nourishing it by associating and relating positive thoughts to it with FEELING AND EMOTION, thereby creating a new reality for ourselves.

Therefore I affirm “I can be what I will to be”, I will exercise my mind as suggested above and  I will create a new reality.

So until next week, let me leave with this following thought;
